Located on the corner of Pakington St. and Gordon Ave, in Geelong West.
During the summer traffic passing through the busy shopping area, have witnessed the preparation and intriguing construction of the tilt-up panel concrete structure. The structure is currently approaching the stage of lock up.
Once the concrete panels were erected, framing and bracing largely in steel, began to be applied to the structure.
Here we can see the intersection of two of the concrete panels (forming the first level) being joined by steel lintels. The structure incorporates alot of bracing in both timber and steel, ensuring stability within construction.
Large steel structural elements dictate the roofline.
